Dinner and art
After the staging of this major concert a gala dinner was served at the InterContinental Geneva Hotel, which was reserved for the Foundation. The dinner, supervised by the prestigious chef Joan Roca –honoured as the best chef in the world in 2013- was attended by 330 people.
It should be emphasised that, together with the contributions we receive from the Foundation’s patrons such as Repsol, Telefónica, INDRA, La Caixa Abertis, B.S.A. and Banque de Mauritanie and other Spanish companies such as Air Europa and I.C.P. Consulting, other public bodies also contributed, such as Geneva City Hall and, crucially, Swiss companies such as Banque Heritage, Boghossian and MKS. There were also numerous people who wished to contribute to the Foundation’s activity by making donations in a personal capacity.
Furthermore, and taking the opportunity of this event’s staging, various artists wished to collaborate with the Foundation by donating artworks for its upkeep. Carlos Franco donated “Pandora y el oro” (Pandora and the Gold), Boris Chetkov “Yellow moons”, Daniel Orson Ybarra his work “Constellation”, Hani Abbas “The Immigrant World”, Estefanía Urrutia donated “Espejo” (Mirror) and Yves Pouliquen “Place des indignes”. The works by Yves Pouliquen and Hani Abbas were sold during the gala dinner, while the painting donated by Carlos Franco was acquired at a later date.
