An award-winning bassoon player
Born in Ankara in 1986, Zeynep began her bassoon studies in 2002 at the State Conservatory in Izmir and subsequently at the Academy of Music and Theater in Hannover with Professor Dag Jensen.
He has regularly participated in projects with Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and was a member of the Orchestra Mozart, directed by Claudio Abbado. In 2009 and 2010 Zeynep Köylüoglu studied at the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Academy.
She won first prize at the Hülsta International Woodwind Competition in 2008 and won the third prize at the Prague Spring International Music Competition in 2009, where she was also awarded the best performance of a new piece. Since 2010 Zeynep Köylüoglu is the co-main bassoon at the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken. He has been a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra since 2009.
